Bins in the Lake

DSCF6029

We have had a spate of bins being thrown in the lake every bin near the lake is now in the lake. It once  again mindless vandalism they have thrown rubbish out of the bin all over the paths what sort of pleasure they get from that no one knows

DSCF5989

Contractors have been putting in data cables to the cafe and a right cock up they have made of it as you can  see they took the trench right next to the trees cutting the roots so that will do them good. They then worked out they had to go further down the back to get to the cafe so then went at right angles as they will have to pull a cable through the pipe it will be hard work.

Happy Xmas to all our readers

Thank you for your kind words.
I am one of the contractors who have made 'a right cock-up'.

Might I boldly suggest that you get another interest in life other than constantly complaining about the state of the park ?

It's a shame that the bins have been thrown in the lake. However you have to ask why could they be uprooted in the first place?

Rubbish should not be easilly accessible, there should be leterbox sized holes through which the rubbish is placed and access should only be by way of a key. This is standard practice in most areas. Particularly if birds are prevalent in the area.

Likewise the bins should be robustly secured to the ground by way of a decent ground anchor inserted into concrete.

It's easy to blame the people who did this, but it simply should not have been possible in the first place.
